Get Involved in Our Ministries
We are all missionary disciples through our baptism, called to serve others
Altar Servers
St. Coleman has a children's altar server ministry that allows young people to participate in the liturgy and serve at the altar. This ministry provides an opportunity for children to learn about their faith and to be actively involved in the life of the church.
Coleman Cares
Coleman Cares is a ministry at our parish that helps people. We provide support and assistance to those who are grieving the loss of a loved one, as well as to those who are struggling emotionally in other ways. Our goal is to offer a helping hand and a listening ear tothose who are going through difficult times.
Extraordinary Eucharistic Ministers
The Extraordinary Ministry of Communion, also known as Eucharistic Ministry, is a ministry in the Catholic Church in which lay members of the congregation are trained and ordained to distribute the Eucharist during Mass. This ministry is called "extraordinary" because it is outside of the usual role of a priest or deacon to distribute Communion.
Hospitality Ministers
An usher is responsible for welcoming and assisting parishioners before and during Mass. This includes directing people to their seats, handing out bulletins, and answering any questions that people may have. The role of the usher is one of hospitality, as they are the first point of contact for many people who are visiting the church.
Lectors
The Catholic Church, rich in its traditions and roles, recognizes the indispensable role of Lectors, also known as Readers, who serve the liturgy by proclaiming the Word of God during Mass. Lectors play a pivotal role in Catholic worship, as they bring to life the scriptures during liturgical celebrations, fostering an active engagement with God's Word.
Music Ministry
Our music ministry is built our talented cantors who lead the congregation in the singing of hymns and other liturgical music during Mass. The role of the cantor is to help create a sense of unity and participation among the congregation during the Mass. Musicians are also needed to share their talent God has given them.
Respect Life
Our pro-life ministry is dedicated to promoting the value and dignity of human life from conception to natural death. This ministry seeks to educate and raise awareness about the issues surrounding abortion, euthanasia, and other threats to human life.
St. Vincent de Paul Society
The St. Vincent de Paul Society is made up of volunteers who are dedicated to helping those in need in our community. This can include providing food and clothing to those who are struggling, as well as offering financial assistance to help with rent, utilities, and other necessities.
